Public Notice of Early Voting
Notice is hereby given for the General Primary Election that Registered
Voters in Stephenson County, by personal appearance, may vote early,
during regular business hours, in the Election’s Office (located
in the lower level of the Stewart Centre) 50 West Douglas Street, Freeport.
Early Voting will be conducted Monday through Friday, during regular
business hours, beginning Monday February 27, 2012 and ending Thursday
March 15, 2012.
Early voting is open to all registered voters and there is no restriction
as to who may vote early.

to the Elderly and Disables Voters
Citizens who are not registered to vote and cannot leave their home,
hospital, nursing home or other institution because of a permanent physical
disability can arrange for voter registration by contacting the County
Clerk’s Office at 815-235-8289. The last day to register to vote
is Tuesday February 21, 2012.
Every polling place in Stephenson County has voting equipment in place
for voters with disabilities. Disabled access units provide audio to
accommodate voters who are blind, severely visually impaired, or have
trouble reading.
If you have difficulty marking an optical scan ballot or making selections
on the touch screen, you may request assistance.
All Stephenson County precincts are accessible to disabled voters. Absentee
voting is also possible by mail. Thursday March 15, 2012 is the last
day an absentee ballot can be mailed for this election.
In-person absentee voting will be conducted at the Stephenson County
Election Office, located in the lower level at 50 W Douglas Street,
Freeport from Thursday February 9, 2012 through Monday March 19, 2012.
Voting equipment will be in place for voters with disabilities. Disabled
access units provide audio to accommodate voters who are blind, severely
visually impaired, or have trouble reading.

Ballots
Announcement is hereeby made that the color of the official primary
ballots to be used by the repsective political parties at the Stephenson
County General Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012
will be as follows:
Democratic Party:
Green
Republican Party:
Yellow
